My Beauty Regime Consists of Ginger and Cayenne Pepper

I am a huge fan of cleanses, teas, smoothies, and all of that other healthy lifestyle stuff. So recently, I just put in the search engine on Google: Master Cleanse. Immediately, the master cleanse drink came up for cayenne pepper, maple syrup, and lemons. It promised to help you lose at least 20 lbs in two weeks (with exercise). This got me thinking why not, and since I am a broke college student it was very affordable because we had all of the ingredients at my house. I know you guys are probably wondering when am I going to get into my daily beauty regime, but I was trying to get into how this all was a beauty regime accident, and not a bad one! No lie this cleanse started to work immediately, and since it is warmer outside and I can run now during the day and in the mornings. So that is when I started to see weight loss. Still it was not until I added ground ginger to this drink that I noticed rapidly that my acne scars were starting to go away. Not only the scars and blemishes, but my acne in general was starting to clear up. I looked up the health benefits of cayenne pepper and ginger. For cayenne pepper there was quite a lot on weight loss, metabolism, and antiviral effects. Then for ginger there were things on inflammation, and clearing up acne and acne scars. I was so happy because I took biotin for three years straight and it completely messed my face up. Also the ginger helps with cramps I seriously have cramps so bad that I want to punch someone, but this time I couldn't feel anything. I just wanted to share this with you guys because natural stuff works. So back to my daily beauty regime:

Morning:
I use African Black soap because I am African American but I am pretty sure other ethnic groups can use it as well. Basically, I wash my face with it and the put on light neutrogena moisturizer because my skin is oily. Also every other month I might switch up on my daily face wash because my skin has the tendency to get used to products and stop working.

Afternoon:
My face is usually very oily around this time and most of the time I am not in my house or dorm room so I have to carry around blotting papers. This helps take away the greasiness.

Night:
The night is my favorite time for skin care because then I can put on a mask or deep clean if I want. The first mask I have been trying for the past two days in a "multitasking face mask my version". So basically I start out with dry milk and I put a decent amount of water in it so it won't be too watery. I use it as a "base coat" I just rub it all in my skin so that afterwards my face can feel smooth and refreshed. Then for the exfoliation part I get a fingertip of coconut oil and I mix it with sea salt. I scrub my forehead, chin, nose, and cheeks (sometimes my neck). After this I get ground up ginger I wet it just a little bit and I put the mixture on my cheeks (where my face has the most acne scars). I let this multitasking face mask sit on my face for about 30 minutes sometimes longer if I am busy working on a project. Then afterwards I wash it all off with water, and then I wash my face with the African Black Soap. I do not put any extra moisturizer on my face because I sweat at night everywhere and also I feel like for my skin type if would be too much. My face has been clear for a while but like I said my face does get used to things so I might have to switch up things. I hope you guys read this and get inspired to try out natural herbs and spices on your skin. And you might use one thing for one part of your body and find out it affects another part as well. So you never know!

Non-Traditional NYE LOOK: #luluspartyperfect

I do not know about anyone else but I already have my NYE outfit picked out lol. Even though all my sisters and I just stay in the house and have our own way of celebrating NYE. I still always seem to have a blast; especially when it comes to just dressing up and filling out my FAFSA. My family and I always start off with prayer or we just go to a church service and that is my night. Still, I love dressing up and I am pretty sure God himself knows this as well. Also guys I finally have the full details on where you can get this look! Sorry for the previous blog posts those were already in my closet so...yeah. My skirt is from Rue 21, my shirt is from Tomtop, and my lovely coat/jacket is from Choies. Thank God this year is not as cold because I would have frozen my butt off on Sunday! Please enjoy yourselves this Christmas and this New Years'.

How I Add Furr to My Thrifting Finds

In this article I do want to talk about how I add my little white faux fur neck collar to almost all of my thrift store finds. Basically, this was just a thought because in July I bought a gorgeous white cape coat and the neck collar was removable. So what I do is I take the neck collar, I get a few safety pins and pin them around my collar and viola! A fancy little faux fur neck collar to every jacket. It goes from a thrift store find to a BooHoo or SheIn styled jacket. Also, I love those stores so please check them out! www.shein.com and/or www.boohoo.com.

Emerging Fashion Illustrator #artstyleblogger

I do not want to be another fashion or lifestyle blogger. I have seen so many that at this point it is not even funny. I am even starting to think maybe I should just give this up. Then my inner stronger me whispers do not give up on your dreams. If someone really knows me then they know that I am not competitive and I just cannot put up with crazy competitive people. I know that fashion is competitive but it is starting to seem overwhelmingly competitive because all I want is to do what I love and honestly get paid for it. My ultimate goals is just to have my voice heard. I just want to stand out from other Fashion Bloggers by sharing more then just my love for God and fashion. Although, I eventually want to get paid this is not some get rich quick scheme for me. I want to be the young woman that every woman and girl can relate to. I love lifestyle blogs but the thing that turns me off about them is that they are not relatable. Basically, I am just looking at professional pictures that exhibit every luxurious thing that happens in someone's life. I am not bashing lifestyle bloggers because if they have the money they have every right to shop and travel. So yea, even though you guys have already been seeing a  lot of art on my blog expect to start seeing Fashion Illustrations. Please  believe me when I say I am stepping out of my comfort zone. I have never really done fashion illustrations.

Fashion Politics: Fashion and Religion? How do you do that?

This was the photoshoot a day before my birthday 12/08/2015. I had so much fun my roommate thought so creatively and it was gorgeous. The leaves went perfectly with my brand new never worn Macy's cape sweater (my mommy had just bought it). It was hard for me to name this post I was really thinking "Hello from the other side..." but then I decided  to go into Fashion Politics which is something I am just learning about. First I do want to talk about how Fashion is so much more than image and a lot of people still think it is. So many people say rude, mean, or degrading things to me but I know that what I am trying to do is spread the glory of God through my personal story and fashion just happens to be a part of that. A lot of Christians say that fashion is not of God and the bible does say and I quote Romans 12: 2, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Honestly, I am confused myself because why wis Fashion seen so badly by Christians. I am confused because in God and through fashion is how I tell my testimony. I have talked about this before in another blog post so I will be brief but seriously though I am concerned. I guess I should not feel convicted and I do not. I prayed about it and asked God was what I was doing disobeying Him. In my spirit I did hear Him say, "Look at your blog." And I did and there was not any nude pictures, or pictures with my butt and boobs all out so I guess He was leading me to my own answer. A lot of people might hate me but who cares. I love GOD and I love fashion. Loving fashion does not make me love God any less. I know that God did say do not be concerned with the fashions of this world, but is Proverbs 31 he also says about how the virtuous woman is clothed in strength and dignity and that her clothes are "well-made and elegant." I believe that the day I choose to love and idolize fashion more than I love God then I am sinning, but right now for the people who are telling me I am against God, no offense but get a life. Stop trying to kill my dreams there are demons that need to be cast out and people dying everyday. My fashion sense and me glorifying God and modesty is not going to kill you. This will be my last post about Fashion & Religion because I am so tired of people calling me a devil. Ha! Me a devil because I uplift other girls with body image issues? Me a devil because I am encouraging other women to respect themselves? Wow, sounds real Jezebel like to me *sarcasm*. You can not let people define you not even family members sorry but not sorry because if God is okay with me doing this then I am. God scolds and convicts me about way more sinful things I am doing than some clothes. I never felt once wrong with God doing this. So I am just going to continue to share my testimony and look modest doing it!  PSALMS 139 AND PROVERBS 31

This was just was just a random photoshoot with my roomie Latifah (love her)! I wanted to try something new and different and this was like my first time taking a picture at night. I just think that you should cease the small moments in life and be you.
