Yesterday, I kept it cool, chic, and business casual for my new Communications/PR internship at Chicago Housing Authority. I don't like my heels too high (who really does when walking downtown?). So a lot of people that were former interns like me were just really wearing black and white, but me as a fashion blogger I took risks and a lot of people are afraid to take risks in a business casual environment. Well do not be as long as you are not wearing a mini-skirt, some bright neon colors, or a crop tops then you should be good. There are some great ways to be fashionable but also business casual (just throwing that out there). So I am here to help you find those ways so you don't think everyday has to be a black and white kind of day.
In this color I went all out because it was Monday and who doesn't need colors for to get through a full time work week? First, I got a pale pink shirt because you want color, but not a super bright color. Then I got a printed skirt that was below my knees because that is what most Business casual professionals want. It may seem hard but honestly, you just can't be afraid. A lot of people told me that I looked nice and those were big names at the company I work at. Do not be afraid to try new things out. Just abide by the dress code rules and you should be fine!
